My first season with IHSD started in the fall of 2008 in a coastal town with a one classroom preschool site next to a pumpkin patch. After two years of teaching, I continued to stay engaged with IHSD as a volunteer, an advocate, a member of the growth committee, and most recently a staff member. My seasons with IHSD have been nothing short of mission-driven with the growing belief that all children should have access to quality early childhood education.

Day 100 of 100

Day 100: Today, I celebrate the 100th day of my 100 day project! Having created 2 children’s books in the past for my personal collection, I was committed to creating more children’s books in 100 days. While I still have a few weeks before I actually complete all my book projects, I’m taking this day to reflect on the journey and appreciate the importance of side projects. As Ralph Waldo Emerson famously said, “Life is a journey, not a destination.” This project started out awkward and vulnerable, but it became a huge source of self-development and confidence. Hope you can be inspired to start your own 100 day project too! (Check out #The100DayProject for creative inspiration as a new official season begins!) I’m going to take a break from posting now to finish up my books and plan a summer Kickstarter campaign for anyone interested in a copy! Thanks for the support and following! Which book are you most excited for? 😄
