A Big Thank You

As our most thankful month of the year comes to an end, my book characters and I want to give a great big THANK YOU for giving us life and joining us on my 1st book collection journey. After today, these books will not be available as I consider the opportunity to create new stories. . We also raised a total of $568 to support two amazing nonprofits. A donation of $318 from the Kickstarter fund went to support @donorschoose to help schools affected by Hurricane Harvey. A donation of $250 from post-Kickstarter sales went to support @sandyhookpromise to prevent gun-related violence in schools. . Thank you also to those friends who shared stories/photos of reading my book(s)! Makes my heart full. 😊 If you’re interested in a recap of my entire journey, check link in bio to learn more! . Cheers and thank you again for the support!

Day 100 of 100

Day 100: Today, I celebrate the 100th day of my 100 day project! Having created 2 children’s books in the past for my personal collection, I was committed to creating more children’s books in 100 days. While I still have a few weeks before I actually complete all my book projects, I’m taking this day to reflect on the journey and appreciate the importance of side projects. As Ralph Waldo Emerson famously said, “Life is a journey, not a destination.” This project started out awkward and vulnerable, but it became a huge source of self-development and confidence. Hope you can be inspired to start your own 100 day project too! (Check out #The100DayProject for creative inspiration as a new official season begins!) I’m going to take a break from posting now to finish up my books and plan a summer Kickstarter campaign for anyone interested in a copy! Thanks for the support and following! Which book are you most excited for? 😄

Day 96 of 100

Day 96: Coming Summer 2017, "The Moose The Moose" is a story with 30 full color illustrated spreads inspired by beloved camp song, "Da Moose Da Moose." (Look it up!) It's about a moose who enjoys the outdoors but doesn't pay attention to potential dangers and eventually dies. It's both silly and morbid and teaches us to always be aware. (Like Ross Gellar would say, "Unagi.") This is great for nature lovers, moose enthusiasts, and camp counselors! Shout out to @YMCACampMarston for teaching me this silly morbid moose song. (Where's the moose emoji?! 😩) .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ #The100DayProject #Illustration #CartoonArt #IllustrationoftheDay #CartoonDrawing #ChildrensBooks #ChildrensBookAuthor #ChildrensBookIllustration #KidsLitArt #UpcomingBook #ShowYourWork #WorkinProgress #FrozenMoose #DaMoose #TheMooseTheMoose #Bookstagram #KidsBooks #KidsBookstagram #ILoveCampMonth #YMCACamp #YMCACampMarston #CampSong #SummerCamp #CampCounselor #AngelHaloChang
